State of Shock

My wife & I are currently in a state of shock.

A few weeks ago, at the funeral of my mentor, we ran into Aunt Bev, the aunt of my best friend. Every year, during the 2996 project, I repost my post remembering her husband who was murdered on 9/11 while she was on the phone with him.

She was there with the family of the first student who, a few years ago, received the scholarship in her husband's name. This boy was from Rwanda, the son of both a Hutu and a Tutsi. Fr. Higgins was instrumental in getting this scholarship set up. A few years later, the boy was doing very well.

This morning, we saw the announcement on Fox News that Aunt Bev was aboard the plane that crashed in Clarence. She was flying in for a scholarship dinner.

I am too in shock right now to analyze anything.
